2011 Outback Bowl - Pregame Morning

by: John Tecce

January 1, 2011

Today's 7am wakeup call was arguably worse than yesterday's 3:30am alarm, but the day has finally arrived and I'm too excited to care.

After a nice (and free) breakfast at the hotel, we relaxed in our room waiting impatiently for 9:30am, when we left for the stadium. Raymond James Stadium is a little over a mile from our hotel, so we made the walk (comparable to the West Halls to Beaver Stadium walk I often made last football season) so that we would arrive promptly when the parking lots opened at 10am.

The weather is nothing short of perfect. A nice breeze is taking the edge off of the hot (well, to us Penn State fans anyway) Florida sun as temperatures steadily climb towards the high 70s.

Right now, we are outside Raymond James Stadium at the Bowl Bash watching the Penn State Blue Band and cheerleaders perform for a big crowd of blue and white. More to come a little later! LET'S GO STATE!
