Basketball for a great cause
Last year's game was attended by 275 breast cancer survivors and raised over $80,000 for breast cancer causes. The list of beneficiaries of the money raised from the Pink Zone game includes the Mount Nittany Medical Center, Penn State Hershey Cancer Institute, Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition, Kay Yow Cancer Fund, and Blair Memorial Hospital.
Last chance to see the Lady Lions before the Big Dance
The Lady Lions sit at 21-7 and are currently 2nd in the Big Ten at 10-4 heading into their final two games of the season. The latest ESPN Bracketology has them as a 5th seed in the NCAA Tournament, which would be their first Big Dance appearance since 2005, and their opening round game(s) would be played right here in Happy Valley! Sunday will be their final home game of the regular season and could be the final time to see senior forward Julia Trogele at the Bryce Jordan Center.
